Kyrgyz athlete Erlan Sultangaziyev wins silver at Asian Canoe Sprint Championships in China

Bishkek, April 27, 2026 /Kabar/. The Asian Canoe Sprint Championships were held in Hefei, People's Republic of China, from April 24 to 26, 2026.

According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Erlan Sultangaziyev, a member of the Kyrgyz Republic national team, won a silver medal in the 200-meter kayak single on the first day of competition.

Athletes from 19 Asian countries are participating in this major competition.

Three athletes representing Kyrgyzstan are competing in the championship: Erlan Sultangaziyev, Rodion Tuigunov, and Rysbek Tolomushev. The team is led by head coach Oleg Roganov.
