Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, met with Huseyin Ozhan, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Managing Director for Central Asia and Mongolia and Nodira Mansurova, EBRD Regional Director for the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and EBRD, as well as the implementation of joint projects in priority sectors.

Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed appreciation to the EBRD for its support and for the implementation of socially significant projects in Kyrgyzstan.

Kasymaliev emphasized that, in recent years, Kyrgyzstan's economy has demonstrated steady positive momentum thanks to a comprehensive approach to developing key sectors.

The average annual economic growth rate over the past four years stood at 10.2%. In the first eight months of 2026, the real GDP growth rate was 11.0%.

Construction, industry, and the service sector are the key drivers of economic growth. In this context, he highlighted the role and support of international development partners in ensuring sustainable economic growth and improving the population's standard of living.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the implementation of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 construction project and other infrastructure projects. In turn, Huseyin Ozhan, EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia and Mongolia, noted Kyrgyzstan’s significant progress, highlighting the dynamic development of the national economy.

He particularly emphasized the importance of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 construction project, describing it as a key regional initiative. Huseyin Ozhan also reaffirmed the EBRD’s commitment to the continued implementation of infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan, including in the energy and transport sectors.

The parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening their partnership and expanding cooperation on joint projects aimed at Kyrgyzstan’s sustainable economic development.
