Bishkek, July 17, 2026. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev summarized the country's socio-economic development for the first half of this year during a staff meeting.
The chairman noted that, according to preliminary estimates, the gross domestic product (GDP) for the first half of 2026 amounted to 960.0 billion soms, with a real growth rate of 11.9%.
"Kyrgyzstan ranks first among the EAEU member states in terms of GDP growth. This growth is driven by the contribution of all sectors of the economy. The construction sector grew by 69.6%, the service sector by 6.0%, and agriculture by 4.3%. Industrial growth was 12.8%.
The highest growth rates were recorded in the following sectors: chemical production – 2.9 times; pharmaceutical production – 1.8 times; vehicle production – 40.7%; construction materials production – 33.4%; base metal production – 11.9%; food production – 8.2%; and mining – 12.8%. "This demonstrates a very positive trend in economic development," said Adylbek Kasymaliev.
According to him, high growth rates in fixed capital investment have also been observed since the beginning of the year. They amounted to 204.4 billion soms, an increase of 64.3%. Compared to the same period in 2025, the increase in fixed capital investment was driven by a 1.5-fold increase in domestic funding sources and a 3.2-fold increase in external sources.
He also noted that state budget revenues for January-June 2026 amounted to 454 billion 251.8 million soms, exceeding the planned figure by 22 billion 652.7 million soms. The plan was fulfilled by 105.3%.
The revenues of the State Tax Service amounted to 191 billion 620.0 million soms, exceeding the planned figure by 7 billion 442.7 million soms. The plan was fulfilled by 104.0%.
The State Customs Service's revenues amounted to 87 billion 380.4 million soms, 4 billion 385.8 million soms above the plan. The plan was fulfilled by 105.3%.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the need to maintain a high pace of work.
