Bishkek, March 9, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, Speaker of the Parliament Marlen Mamataliev received Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping.
As reported by the Parliament, at the meeting the parties discussed issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and implementing major investment projects.
Speaker Marlen Mamataliev noted that the three meetings of the heads of the two countries last year gave a great impetus to cooperation.
"As a result, the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which has been stalled for many years, has begun. We are ready to further develop strategic partnership by deepening inter-parliamentary ties," the chairman said.
In turn, Ambassador Liu Jiangping congratulated Marlen Mamataliev on his election as speaker and conveyed the greetings of Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China. The ambassador highly appreciated the reforms underway in Kyrgyzstan, especially the digitalization policy in parliament.
The parties paid special attention to the issues of promoting joint projects, fully utilizing the trade and economic potential and implementing agreements, and strengthening the friendship between the two peoples.
