Kyrgyz Cinema Days being held in Istanbul

Bishkek, March 26, 2026. /Kabar/. The opening ceremony of the Kyrgyz Cinema Days was held at the "Atlas" cinema in Istanbul, Turkiye.

According to the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul, the event was attended by cultural representatives, diplomats and film figures from both countries.

At the opening ceremony, Consul General Chingiz Toktobekov noted that this event is aimed at promoting Kyrgyz culture and strengthening spiritual ties between compatriots abroad.

On the first day of the evening, director Aktan Arym Kubat's film "Kara Kyzyl Sary" was presented. This film, which depicts life on the border, migration and family values, aroused the interest of the audience.

The program includes:

  • March 25: Dastan Japar uulu's film "Kachkyn";
  • March 26: Ruslan Akun's film "Beyish 2" will conclude.

The cultural festival was organized by the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul and the Department of Cinematography with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
