Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz doctors will gain experience in leading clinics in Russia, Minister of Health Kanybek Dosmambetov announced during a meeting with the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed cooperation in the healthcare sector between the two countries, and issue of continuing the work on allocating quotas for Kyrgyz citizens for treatment in Russian clinics, including the provision of high-tech medical care, was raised.
The parties paid special attention to personnel training. The issue of expanding the opportunities for young doctors from Kyrgyzstan to study in Russia, especially in the areas of oncology, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery and pediatrics, was discussed. The organization of internships and advanced training programs for Kyrgyz doctors in leading medical centers in Russia was also considered.
In addition, the issue of implementing joint projects in the field of high-tech medicine was discussed. Kyrgyz side expressed interest in creating a nuclear medicine center with cyclotron-radiopharmaceutical production in the country. It was reported that some work in this direction is underway at the National Center for Oncology and Hematology.
It is planned to prepare the necessary documents, conclude contracts and begin design work for the project in 2026, and complete it by 2030.
The meeting also discussed the exchange of experience of doctors, joint operations, and expanding scientific cooperation.
