Bishkek, Nov.18, 2025 /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov held a meeting with large domestic companies supplying socially significant goods.

Representatives of tax services of four districts of the capital also attended the meeting.

Addressing the participants at the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need to reduce prices for basic consumer goods.

“We are working closely with large hypermarkets and markets in the capital. We see understanding from them and certain results of price reduction. All parties should reconsider their pricing policy. This is being done in the interests of our citizens. We do not require you to work at loss. We only recommend considering a reasonable pricing policy,” Sydykov said.

He also added that the Antimonopoly Service has intensified control in recent days, imposing more than 30 administrative fines in two days. "Ministry of Economy and Commerce, together with the Antimonopoly Service, will continue to monitor the situation with pricing in order to ensure stability in the consumer market and protect the interests of citizens," he noted.
