Kyrgyz FM meets with representatives of OIC, Latin American and Caribbean countries

Bishkek, April 9, 2025. /Kabar/. On April 8, 2025, during his working visit to New York, Kyrgyz Republic's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev held productive meetings with representatives from various regional groups, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as representatives from The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

In these meetings, Minister Kulubaev highlighted the key priorities of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy and shared the achievements made within the Central Asian region. He reaffirmed the country's commitment to international cooperation, sustainable development, and regional integration.

The discussions addressed critical issues on both global and regional agendas, resulting in agreements to enhance political dialogue and multifaceted cooperation. This will be facilitated through regular bilateral consultations and high-level visits. Additionally, the possibilities for collaboration on multilateral platforms were explored, including mutual support for candidates for elected positions within the United Nations.

During his visit, Minister Kulubaev also oversaw the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and several countries, including Burkina Faso, Belize, and Somalia. Joint communiqués formalizing these diplomatic ties were signed by the respective permanent representatives to the UN.

During the conversations, participants reached agreements to enhance political dialogue and foster multifaceted cooperation through bilateral consultations and high-level visits.
