Kyrgyz FM meets with TurkPA secretary-general

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev held a meeting with the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TurkPA), Ramil Hasan, who arrived in Bishkek on an official visit.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that during the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation within TurkPA, as well as the development of inter-parliamentary interaction among member states of the Organization.

Minister Kulubaev congratulated Secretary-General Hasan on his appointment and emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to strengthening Turkic cooperation institutions, noting TurkPA’s role as a key platform for advancing parliamentary diplomacy across the Turkic world.

Kulubaev also invited the TurkPA observer mission to actively participate in monitoring the upcoming parliamentary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, underscoring that such engagement would help promote transparency and public confidence in the electoral process.

Secretary-General Hasan expressed appreciation to the Kyrgyz side for its continued support of the Assembly’s initiatives and briefed the Minister on TurkPA’s upcoming activities, including preparations for the 15th plenary session of TurkPA, which is scheduled to be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2026.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening long-term and constructive cooperation within the framework of the Assembly.
