Kyrgyz Football Union signs agreement with Saudi Arabian Football Federation

Bishkek, Jan. 7, 2026. /Kabar/. On January 6, a mutual memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Kyrgyz Football Union and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

The document was signed by Kamchybek Tashiev, President of the Kyrgyz Football Union, and Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

The main goal of the agreement is the comprehensive development of football in the Kyrgyz Republic, the adoption of international experience, and the enhancement of the competitiveness of national teams. The memorandum provides for friendly matches between the women's and youth national teams of the two countries to be held in 2026–2027. These matches will be aimed at enabling young footballers to gain international experience and enhance their playing skills.

Furthermore, the parties agreed to collaborate on the exchange of sports information, the improvement of football governance systems, the development of refereeing, the training and professional development of coaches, technical development, and the organization and holding of competitions.

The signed memorandum is an important step for the Kyrgyz Football Union in expanding international ties, exchanging experience, and ensuring the qualitative growth of national football at all levels.

As part of his official visit to Saudi Arabia, KFU President Kamchybek Tashiev is also attending the U-23 Asian Cup matches taking place in Jeddah.
