Bishkek, Aug 6, 2026. /Kabar/. On August 6, the service weapons shooting championship concluded in Kyrgyzstan. It was held as part of the 17th Spartakiad of the friendly armies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Following the competition, the Kyrgyz Armed Forces team took first place in the overall team standings, demonstrating a high level of professional training, accuracy, composure, and skill.
Final results:
1st place — Kyrgyz Republic;
2nd place — Republic of Kazakhstan;
Third place — Russian Federation;
Fourth place — Republic of Uzbekistan;
Fifth place — Republic of Belarus.
During the championship, service members competed in individual and team events, shooting the AK-74 assault rifle and Makarov pistol.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Kulmurzaev delivered a congratulatory speech. He presented awards to the winners and runners-up.
The deputy minister noted that such competitions contribute to the improvement of the professional skills of service members, the development of military-applied sports, and the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the armed forces of the CIS countries.
