Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy strengthens laboratory infrastructure to support exports

Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2026. /Kabar/. Board of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce reviewed the results of work for 2025 and priorities for 2026, Choro Seyitov, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce told Kabar.

According to him, special attention was paid to developing laboratory infrastructure to support exports, as all exported products must be certified and standardized. Strengthening the material and technical infrastructure is planned in this area.

Furthermore, the Board discussed continued work on the Ministry's four main strategic areas, measures to support small and medium-sized businesses, and the development of the financial market.

Separate sections addressed the creative industry, the High-Tech Park's plans for the upcoming period, and the results of their activities. Attention was also paid to the development of tourism and tourism infrastructure as a source of additional added value.

Choro Seyitov noted that a slight decline in trade was recorded last year. To overcome this, a range of measures is planned for 2026, including export incentives, expanding SME access to financing, modernizing laboratory infrastructure, supporting the IT sector and creative industries, developing tourism clusters, and attracting investment.
