Bishkek, Feb.18, 2026. /Kabar/. At Wednesday Parliament meeting, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliev discussed plans to digitalize parliament's work.
He said that committees receive a large number of materials and bills, which deputies do not always have time to review in a timely manner.
"If documents arrive on Friday, you don't always have the opportunity to review them over the weekend, and then committee meetings are already taking place on Monday. We intend to implement digitalization. An order has been issued to purchase 90 tablets, which will be distributed to deputies. "Materials will be sent electronically every Friday. Four folders are provided: for plenary sessions, committees, parliamentary groups, and various issues," he noted.
Furthermore, there are plans to optimize the participation of representatives of ministries and agencies in committee meetings. In the absence of a minister, online connections will be provided.
The speaker also announced the development of a public reception office, with plans to introduce online citizen reception services without the need to travel to the regions. Five reception rooms for parliamentary groups are planned to be opened near the parliament building, as well as mother-and-child rooms to ensure visitors can wait in comfortable conditions.
