As reported by the parliament, the draft law was initiated by MPs Marlen Mamataliev, Kamila Talieva, Zhyldyz Egenberdieva, Medina Kairylbekova, Rakhat Junushbaeva, Bakyt Tentishev, Seidbek Atambayev, Zhanybek Abirov, Gulya Kozhokulova, Adilet Belekov, Gulnara Baatyrova, Bekmurza Ergeshov.
The document is aimed at regulating public relations in the field of climate action and determining the legal basis for climate action to minimize the impact of climate change on the population, economy, and ecosystems of Kyrgyzstan.
