Bishkek, Aug 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum and the 12th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference.
The event is taking place ahead of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Meeting, which will take place on August 6–7 in Cholpon-Ata.
The forum program began with video addresses from President of Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the participants and guests of the meeting.
In his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev noted the words of President Sadyr Zhaparov, who stated that relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia are characterized by a strategic partnership and alliance, and that their comprehensive strengthening remains a key priority of the state policy of Kyrgyz Republic.
"Today's forum and interregional conference rightfully occupy a special place in the system of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation. This is not just a platform for exchanging opinions, it is a space where specific solutions are formulated, joint projects are launched, and direct ties between businesses and the regions of our countries are strengthened," Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized.
He noted that the Cabinet of Ministers is consistently working to modernize the economy, improve the investment climate, and develop industry, energy, transport, and tourism infrastructure. The Kyrgyz side expresses a high level of openness to expanding cooperation with its Russian partners and is interested in implementing new joint projects.
The speech placed particular emphasis on the importance of interregional cooperation. Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that direct contacts between regions provide practical dynamism to cooperation, enable the faster implementation of agreements, and create new growth opportunities for businesses and citizens of both countries.
Concluding his speech, Kasymaliev expressed confidence that the upcoming discussions will be substantive and practical, and their results will significantly contribute to strengthening the Kyrgyz-Russian economic partnership and expanding trade, investment, and technological cooperation.
