Bishkek, May 12, 2026. /Kabar/. Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliev visited the M. Mamakeev National Surgical Center and inspected the medical facility's operations.

According to the parliament's press service, the speaker met with the doctors who performed the first successful liver transplant in Kyrgyzstan and spoke with patients who had undergone this surgery.

Mamataliev expressed gratitude to the surgeons for successfully performing this historic operation and congratulated the nurses on their professional holiday.

Presenting Jogorku Kenesh awards to leading medical workers, he noted that the development of the sector is a priority area of ​​state policy.

The speaker then reviewed the center's operations and the state of its medical equipment.

In turn, the doctors informed the participants that the transplant department requires expansion to improve the quality of care. It was also noted that some of the medical facility's buildings are outdated, and they request their renovation.

Mamataliev responded that he would address the concerns raised, and the relevant committee would assist in carrying out the necessary repairs.

The members of Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Issues were also part of the meetings.
