Bishkek, April 13, 2026 /Kabar/. The Sambo World Cup was held in Yerevan on April 11-12, bringing together athletes from various countries. Competitions were held in sport sambo, combat sambo, and among athletes with visual impairments.
According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the Kyrgyz team won several prizes at the tournament.
In the discipline of sports sambo:
Bayel Zhakshylykov (79 kg) - 2nd place.
In combat sambo:
Bekten Erkebay uulu (88 kg) - 3rd place;
Bekbolsun Kerimbekov (98 kg) - 3rd place;
Talasbek Nuraliev (over 98 kg) - 3rd place;
Akak Uson kyzy (54 kg) - 3rd place.
In the category among athletes with visual impairments:
Aziza Turanova (54 kg) - 3rd place.
