Bishkek, April 20, 2026. /Bishkek/. On April 19, the team competition in the wall-to-wall format was held in Ordos, China, as part of the Asian Judo Championships. The Kyrgyz team won the bronze medal.
According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, this result was a historic achievement for Kyrgyz sports; it was the first time that Kyrgyz judokas had reached the podium at the Asian Championships in team competition.
The Asian Championships were held from April 16 to 18 and brought together 197 athletes from 19 countries. Fourteen medal events were contested in the men's and women's tournament. Kyrgyzstan was represented by 14 judokas.
