Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Asan Zhanyshov, a member of the Kyrgyz national Greco-Roman wrestling team, won the gold medal at the Ziolkowski, Pytlasinski & Poland Open 2026 international tournament, currently taking place in Poland.
The wrestler, competing in the 87 kg weight class, defeated Armenia's Gevorg Tadevosyan 6-0 in the final to win the tournament.
The competition, taking place in Warsaw, Poland, will run until August 30. Kyrgyzstan is represented by nine Greco-Roman wrestlers.
