Kyrgyzstan aims to increase agricultural production by 30%

Bishkek, Feb. 23, 2026. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev highlighted the results achieved in agriculture, key indicators of the past year at the Agrodialogue forum held in Bishkek.

Agricultural production volume amounted to 459.7 billion soms (62.9 billion soms more than in 2024), with a growth rate of 102.2%. The processing industry produced goods worth 104.7 billion soms (16.2 billion soms more than in 2024), with a growth rate of 130.1%.

Agricultural exports also achieved positive results: more than 60 types of agricultural products have been exported to over 80 countries; the country's population is now provided with six of the nine basic socially important food products.

According to him, the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic to 2030 identifies a number of areas for agricultural development, including: increasing agricultural production by 30%; doubling the physical volume of agricultural processing; reducing water loss by 15%; increasing the area of ​​irrigated land by 15,000 hectares; and increasing land water availability by 93,000 hectares.
