Bishkek, July 23, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is working to increase the production of fuels and lubricants. First Deputy Chairman Daniyar Amangeldiev announced in his interview with local media.
According to him, the reconstruction of the Junda oil refinery will be completed next year, and the plant will begin producing up to 800,000 tons of K5 gasoline.
Amangeldiev noted that, in addition to addressing the current situation, the government is taking measures to ensure the domestic market has sufficient fuel.
"Starting next year, agreements on direct oil supplies with Russia and other countries will come into force." "Furthermore, the production volumes of the Junda plant and the launch of Kyrgyzneftegaz's new modern plant will create conditions for supplying the domestic fuel and lubricants market," he said.
He added that the launch of Kyrgyzneftegaz's new plant, which will also produce K5-standard products, is planned for 2028.
