Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2026 /Kabar/. The 11th meeting of the Interstate Council on Combating Corruption of the CIS Member States took place in Minsk on September 17, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. According to the agency, a delegation from the Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan, led by Deputy Prosecutor General Zalkarbek Aknazarov, participated in the meeting.
The participants discussed key issues regarding anti-corruption efforts, the improvement of preventive measures, the implementation of digital solutions, the coordination of anti-corruption policy, and the exchange of experience.
As part of the visit, Zalkarbek Aknazarov held a bilateral meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus, Dmitry Gora. The parties discussed international legal cooperation on criminal cases involving cyber fraud and highlighted the need to share practical experience in combating corruption and in prosecutorial oversight regarding compliance with environmental legislation.
In addition, a member of the delegation delivered a lecture at the Belarusian State Economic University, presenting Kyrgyzstan's modern approaches to combating corruption.
Following the meeting, further measures were outlined to strengthen anti-corruption cooperation within the Commonwealth.
