Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. On September 23, a meeting took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Velislava Petrova-Chamova, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting focused primarily on intensifying political dialogue and arranging mutual visits at the highest and high levels. Discussions also covered holding the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries, expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, and fostering interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Bulgaria within the framework of the European Union.
Kulubaev invited Petrova-Chamova to visit Kyrgyzstan and to participate in the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25" in 2027.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening Kyrgyz-Bulgarian relations and maintaining regular contacts at various levels.
