Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2026 /Kabar/. On Hainan Island, in the city of Haikou, a working meeting was held on the issue of opening direct flights between the city of Bishkek and the Chinese resort city of Sanya.
From the Kyrgyz side, commercial director of Kyrgyz Airports OJSC Aman Mamaev took part in the negotiations. The meeting took place with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in China and the Regional Project Support Center for the SCO countries in Kyrgyzstan.
From the Chinese side, a delegation led by the Secretary of the Party Committee of the CPC of Hainan Province, Fen Fei, took part in the negotiations.
The main topic of the meeting was the launch of the direct flight Sanya - Bishkek - Sanya, which is planned to open in the winter season 2026/2027.
The meeting was a practical continuation of the agreements reached within the framework of the SCO summit held in Bishkek during negotiations between the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on further strengthening cooperation between the two countries, including in the field of transport and tourism.
Sanya is a resort city in the south of Hainan Island and one of the most popular tourist destinations in China. The city is known for its tropical climate, seaside resorts and beach holidays and attracts a large number of tourists every year.
