Bishkek, March 26, 2025. /Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Mirbek Mambetaliev held a meeting today with Chinese Ambassador Liu Jiangping.
The ministry reported that the parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of culture, information and youth policy.
Mirbek Mambetaliev expressed confidence in the further strengthening of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations and noted the significant role of China in supporting the cultural initiatives of Kyrgyzstan. In response, Liu Jiangping emphasized her readiness for active interaction and invited the Kyrgyz side to take part in the upcoming cultural events in China.
During the meeting, the sides discussed areas of cooperation, including the preservation of cultural heritage, the organization of youth programs and the holding of touring exchanges of creative groups. The parties confirmed their desire to implement joint projects aimed at strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.
The Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kyrgyzstan are implementing a number of joint projects in the field of culture and the preservation of historical and cultural heritage. In 2017, the Republican Inspectorate for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments and the Dunhuang Academy signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at studying and preserving historical and cultural heritage, including archaeological research and the creation of archaeological parks and museums. In 2020, the parties discussed the implementation of a grant project for archaeological research in the Kum-Dobo territory and agreed to accelerate its implementation.
