Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Gabon have signed a memorandum of understanding on holding political consultations between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries. The document was signed following a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, Integration, and Diaspora of Gabon, Marie-Edith Tassila-Ye-Doumbene.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting took place on September 24 in New York. The parties discussed the development of political dialogue, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties, as well as cooperation within international organizations.
In addition, the ministers exchanged views on current issues on the regional and international agenda.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the context of Kyrgyzstan’s upcoming tenure on the UN Security Council in 2027–2028.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation within international organizations and to develop bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest.
