Kyrgyzstan and JICA strengthen cooperation in road sector

Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) intend to continue developing cooperation in the road and transport sectors, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Turganbaev met with a JICA delegation led by Kono Konichi, Head of the JICA Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed key issues regarding bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the progress of projects in the transport and road sectors supported by JICA.

Particular attention was paid to the continued effective implementation of projects and the development of cooperation between the Ministry and the Agency.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue and strengthen their mutual cooperation.
