Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2026 /Kabar/. On September 25, a meeting took place in New York—on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly—between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Haiti Rayna Forbin.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Haiti was signed during the meeting.
Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to developing and expanding ties with countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the Republic of Haiti.
The parties also discussed current issues regarding cooperation within international organizations.
Following the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation and further developing friendly relations.
