Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2026 /Kabar/. From February 23 to 26, 2026, negotiations between official delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Romania were held in Bucharest to conclude an Agreement on the elimination of double taxation of income and the prevention of tax Evasion. According to the Ministry of Economy, during the meetings, the parties discussed the provisions of the draft document in detail and, following the negotiations, agreed on the text of the Agreement in principle.
The document will be signed after all necessary internal procedures are completed in each country.
It is noted that the Agreement is aimed at eliminating double taxation, creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, protecting residents of the two countries from discriminatory taxation, and developing information exchange between the competent authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Romania.
