Kyrgyzstan and Russia expand cooperation in veterinary science

Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Russia are expanding scientific and educational cooperation in veterinary science. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kyrgyz Veterinary Research Institute and Bashkir State Agrarian University, according to the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

The document provides for the joint development of veterinary science, the introduction of modern technologies, and the improvement of specialist training.

As part of this cooperation, the parties plan to conduct joint scientific research and projects, exchange scientific and methodological materials and modern technologies, and organize scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and other events.

Special attention will be paid to academic exchange between scientists, specialists, researchers, and students.

One of the key areas will be improving the diagnosis, prevention, and control of infectious and other animal diseases. The results of joint research are planned to be implemented in the practical activities of veterinary services and the livestock industry.

The parties also intend to improve the qualifications of veterinary specialists and introduce modern approaches to veterinary education.

According to the Ministry, the cooperation is aimed not only at conducting research but also at the practical application of scientific developments. This collaboration will enable the exchange of experience, improvement of diagnostic methods, and the introduction of modern disease prevention technologies in animals.

The signed memorandum creates the foundation for long-term scientific and educational cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the field of veterinary medicine and livestock farming.
