Bishkek, July 30, 2026 /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Governor of the Turkish province of Çorum, Ali Çalgan, and the mayor of the city, Halil İbrahim Ashgün.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting discussed the development of interregional cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Çorum province, expanding trade and economic ties, and implementing joint projects.
The parties drew attention to the opportunities for cooperation in the areas of agriculture, processing industry, education, tourism, and supporting entrepreneurship.
The issues of establishing direct ties between sister cities and regions, exchanging experience, and implementing new projects were also considered.
The meeting concluded with an interest in further strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Chorum province.
