Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan discuss experience in medicine and transplantation

Bishkek, April 9, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakytbek Kadyraliev visited the Central Customs Hospital as part of his working visit to Azerbaijan.

According to the health ministry, Jeyhun Mamedov, Head of the Medical Service of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, provided the Kyrgyz delegation with a detailed overview of the service's activities and structure, its modern medical infrastructure, and the high-tech medical services provided to the population.

Particular attention was paid to the introduction of innovative diagnostic and treatment methods that meet international standards. It was noted that the institution successfully performs highly specialized interventions, including kidney and liver transplants from deceased donors, cardiovascular surgery, and modern procedures such as MitraClip, TAVI, and EVAR.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, including the exchange of experience, human resource development, and collaboration in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. "The presented level of medical care organization and the introduction of high technologies inspire deep respect. It is especially important for us to study and adapt best international practices aimed at improving the quality of medical services and developing the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan," noted Bakytbek Kadyraliev.

During the visit, the delegation also toured the operating room, the anesthesiology and intensive care unit, and the hospital's specialized clinical units.
