Bishkek, Oct, 27. 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Sydykov, and the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov hold talks in Baku, the ministry reported.
Bakyt Sydykov noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches particular importance to the development of cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan both in a multilateral format and within the framework of bilateral interaction. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the activities of the Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation, the sixth meeting of which is planned to be held in December of this year in Baku.
The positive dynamics and progressive development of trade and economic ties between the two countries were noted. The participants emphasized the need to take additional measures to increase the volume of mutual trade, which, according to Kyrgyz statistics, amounts to 7.7 million US dollars. Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov expressed interest in expanding transport and logistics cooperation and the effective use of the transit potential of the two countries. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
