Bishkek, July 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has banned the circulation of three active ingredients used in pesticides. The corresponding order, No. 111, "On the Ban on the Circulation of Highly Hazardous Pesticides in Kyrgyzstan," was adopted following a comprehensive review by the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine.
Department employees then inspected retail outlets selling pesticides and mineral fertilizers in all regions of the country and conducted a comprehensive analysis of the products in circulation.
Based on the monitoring results and taking into account the recommendations of specialists, beta-cyfluthrin, bromoxynil octanoate, and fenamiphos were added to the list of prohibited active ingredients.
The ministry noted that the ban is aimed at protecting public health, reducing the negative impact on the environment, improving the safety of agricultural production, and ensuring Kyrgyzstan's compliance with international environmental obligations.
The department emphasized that efforts to strengthen pesticide quality control and develop a modern safety system in the agricultural sector will continue.
