Bishkek, Sept. 26, 2026 /Kabar/. On September 25, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Benin, Corinne Amory Brunet, in New York.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting addressed key issues regarding bilateral cooperation, interaction within international organizations, and the regional and international agenda. Particular attention was paid to the Kyrgyz Republic's upcoming tenure as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding on holding political consultations and an agreement on the mutual waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
