Kyrgyzstan considers purchasing mainline and turboprop aircraft

Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase new aircraft and increase the number of air routes. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers informs in his message congratulating civil aviation personnel on their professional holiday.

"Today, Kyrgyzstan's civil aviation sector is entering a new stage of development. Large-scale work is underway in the country to modernize airport infrastructure, ensure flight safety, improve the state oversight system, and align national laws and standards with international requirements. Plans are currently being considered to expand the country's aviation fleet with two medium-haul mainline aircraft and two turboprop aircraft," he said.

Alongside the expansion of the aviation fleet, the country's airport infrastructure is also being elevated to a new level.
