Kyrgyzstan, EFSD sign major investment agreements

Bishkek, July 16, 2026. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Yaroslav Mandron, Managing Director of Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development(EFSD).

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, current issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for further collaboration, were discussed during the meeting.

As noted, projects in energy, transport, agriculture, and other sectors have been successfully implemented through cooperation with the Fund.

"It is necessary to note the constructive cooperation on the Bishkek-Osh highway reconstruction project, over 67 kilometers of roads have been reconstructed. I would also like to thank the Fund for its support of the country's energy sector, particularly through the rehabilitation of the Toktogul Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP), which has increased capacity by 240 MW, and the commissioning of the second hydroelectric unit of the Kambarata-2 HPP, which will increase capacity by 120 MW," said Adylbek Kasymaliev.

In turn, Yaroslav Mandron, EFSD Managing Director confirmed his commitment to further developing and strengthening cooperation with Kyrgyz Republic in priority areas.

During the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation in a number of areas.

Following the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for two investment projects financed by the EFSD: "Improving Water Supply and Sanitation in Rural Settlements of Osh Region" and "Construction of a Surface Spillway for the Kambarata-2 Hydroelectric Power Station." The documents were signed by EFSD Managing Director Yaroslav Mandron and Kyrgyz Finance Minister Ruslan Suinaliev.
