Bishkek, May 20, 26 /Kabar/. On May 19, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS )of Kyrgyz Republic Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov received Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China Wang Xiaohong.
According to SCNS, during the meeting, they agreed to strengthen cooperation in countering terrorism, religious extremism, economic crime, and cyber threats.
The parties discussed cooperation in ensuring the security of a number of strategic projects, including the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which is of exceptional importance for regional connectivity and economic development.
Shabdanbekov confirmed his readiness to ensure reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Chinese investors in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and agreed to implement a number of practical measures aimed at strengthening security.
