Kyrgyzstan, Gabon to intensify cooperation

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. On September 23, President Sadyr Zhaparov met with President of the Republic of Gabon Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema as part of the high-Level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, which is being held in New York, USA.

The opportunities for expanding cooperation in the trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres and within the framework of international organizations were discussed.

The parties noted that relations between the two countries are at the stage of formation and development. For example, a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed today.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in developing cooperation with African countries, including the Republic of Gabon, in bilateral and multilateral formats, in various areas that meet the interests of both parties.

In confirmation of this, the President of Kyrgyzstan cited the opening of the first embassy in Ethiopia, and the opening of an embassy in Egypt next year.

In turn, President of the Republic of Gabon Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema expressed his readiness to intensify cooperation in all promising areas.

The leaders expressed confidence in further strengthening the partnership and jointly advancing key projects.
