Kyrgyzstan hit record vegetable harvest in 2025

Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2026. /Kabar/. At meeting of Jogorku Kenesh Committee on agrarian policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection, Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Industry Bakyt Torobaev presented a report on preparations for spring field work.

According to him, 15 protocols have been signed with China on export routes, and three more new protocols are planned. In addition, 17 types of products are exported without protocols.

"462 enterprises work with EAEU countries." As part of the ministry's work, Kyrgyzstan received permission to export honey to the European Union. The total volume of agricultural production in 2025 amounted to 459 billion soms, increase of 62.9 million soms compared to the previous period. The processing industry produced goods worth 104 billion soms, increase of 16 billion soms," the minister said.

As Torobaev noted, record harvests were collected in certain districts: 120 tons of tomatoes were harvested per hectare in the Jayil district, 113 tons of onions in the Leilek district, 120 tons of peppers in Manas district, and 30-35 tons of potatoes in Kochkor district.
