Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. The "Tamchy" Special Financial and Investment Territory (SFIT "Tamchy") has introduced the "NextFinance" initiative, aimed at fostering cooperation among financial centers in Asia, facilitating the exchange of expertise, and implementing joint projects.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the initiative was unveiled at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026, one of the world’s largest forums in the field of financial technology. It was presented by Ayaz Baetov, special representative of Kyrgyz president, permanent representative of the country to the United Nations, and First Deputy Chairman of the Governing Council of SFIT "Tamchy."

According to Baetov, pooling the efforts of financial centers will enable more effective adaptation to technological shifts, the implementation of digital solutions, and the creation of a favorable environment for attracting investment.

During the forum, Ayaz Baetov also met with Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong Government. The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the financial sector, the strengthening of ties between financial institutions, and the exchange of expertise regarding regulation and financial technology.

It is noted that Joseph Chan invited representatives of SFIT to participate in the Asian Financial Forum, which will take place in Hong Kong on January 26–27, 2027. The Hong Kong side expressed its readiness to develop a partnership with Kyrgyzstan in the areas of financial services and digital innovation.

"For a period of one month, encompassing the dates of the forum, approximately 1,500 taxis bearing the branding of the 'Tamchy' SFIT will operate on the streets of Hong Kong. This initiative will help increase the visibility of the territory within one of Asia’s major business hubs," the statement says.
