Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. On September 23, 2026, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Anita Orbán.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev congratulated Anita Orbán on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary and wished her success in this important role.
The parties noted with satisfaction the steady development of the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary across political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, reaffirming their mutual interest in further deepening this cooperation.
Jeenbek Kulubaev highlighted the significant role of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund in strengthening bilateral investment ties and advancing joint projects.
The interlocutors exchanged views on pressing issues regarding cooperation within the UN and other international organizations, as well as on collaboration and joint efforts concerning sanctions-related matters.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev invited the Hungarian side to participate in the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25," scheduled to take place in Kyrgyzstan in 2027.
