Bishkek, July 28, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, July 28, Kyrgyz Health Minister Damir Osmonov met with a delegation from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), led by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Fahad Al-Ankari, Chief Executive Officer of the King Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs.
According to the Ministry of Health, during the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the mobile multi-diagnostic clinic project, which is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan as part of the King Abdullah Aid Program, IDB's financial support and partnership with Normeca AS.
The minister of health expressed his sincere gratitude to the IDB and Normeca AS for the successful implementation of the project, which, since its launch in November 2021, has significantly expanded access to specialized medical care for residents of remote and rural areas. During this period, the mobile clinic has provided medical care to over 171,000 patients, conducting over 587,000 consultations and diagnostic tests.
Damir Osmonov noted that the mobile multi-diagnostic clinic has become one of the most successful healthcare projects in Kyrgyzstan, providing the population with free consultations with specialized specialists, modern diagnostic tests, and essential medications.
The meeting focused on the project's continued sustainability. In this regard, the Kyrgyz side and IDB to consider extending project funding for another two years. According to the minister, this will ensure the continued operation of the mobile clinic, maintain access to specialized medical care for the population, and gradually transfer the project to the ministry without the risk of disrupting its operations.
IDB representatives confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
