Kyrgyzstan interested in Estonian digitalization experience and e-Residency platform

Bishkek, April 24, 2025. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sanzhar Bolotov and Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to the Kyrgyz Republic Jaap Ora (residence in Kazakhstan) met in Bishkek on April 23.

According to the Economy Ministry, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding economic cooperation, paying special attention to issues of digitalization, support for startups, development of logistics, tourism and attracting investment.

Sanzhar Bolotov noted Kyrgyzstan's interest in studying Estonia's advanced experience in the field of digital solutions and creating conditions for the development of the digital economy.

Of particular interest was the Estonian e-Residency platform, which allows entrepreneurs from all over the world to conduct business remotely in Estonia. The deputy minister emphasized that this experience could serve as an example for the implementation of similar initiatives in Kyrgyzstan to support entrepreneurship and strengthen economic ties. The ministry noted that cooperation with Estonia is considered a promising area for the implementation of joint projects in the field of digital transformation, development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the expansion of logistics corridors between Central Asia and Europe.
