Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. In Seoul, Akyl Toktobaev, Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, presented Kyrgyzstan's Critical Minerals Development Strategy at the first Korea-Central Asia Business Summit, the ministry reported.
During his speech, the minister noted Kyrgyzstan's significant resource potential and the need to further diversify the mining industry. Particular attention was paid to the development of the critical minerals sector, attracting investment, and implementing projects with international partners.
Kyrgyzstan offers cooperation at all stages, from geological exploration and mining to beneficiation and processing of raw materials.
It is noted that the strategy envisages increased transparency in the industry, the creation of a stable environment for investors, the development of infrastructure and technology, the expansion of international financing and partnerships, as well as adherence to ESG principles and support for local communities.
Akyl Toktobaev invited investors, technology companies, and financial institutions to collaborate on joint projects in the field of critical minerals.
