Kyrgyzstan launches preferential lending for regional businesses

Bishkek, July 20, 2026. /Kabar/. The "Economic Development of the Regions of Kyrgyz Republic" project, which provides preferential financing for businesses, has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Finance announced.

The project is being implemented by the State Financial Holding JSC with the participation of the Ministry of Finance as part of the state policy to support business and regional development.

The main goal of the initiative is to promote sustainable socioeconomic development in the regions, increase investment activity, create new jobs, and expand entrepreneurs' access to affordable financing.

Under the project, preferential loans will be available to individual entrepreneurs, legal entities, and startups. Funds will be used to implement projects in priority economic sectors, including tourism, light industry, manufacturing, healthcare, education, energy, and agricultural processing.

The loans are provided under the following terms: an interest rate of 2% per annum, a financing amount of up to 20 million soms, and a loan term of up to 10 years. A grace period of up to 12 months for principal repayment is also provided.

The ministry of finance noted that the project will help develop entrepreneurship in the regions, modernize existing production facilities, attract investment, and strengthen the country's economic potential.
