Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has implemented the e-Permit system with Turkic-speaking states and China for international freight transportation, Ministry of Transport and Communications reports.
According to the ministry, as a result, domestic trucking companies are now carrying out international freight transportation with China, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey using electronic permits.
The implementation of the system significantly simplified the process of exchanging permits and enabled domestic trucking companies to obtain permits online. This eliminated the need for in-person visits and waiting in lines, and significantly reduced service delivery times.
It is noted that previously, the parties exchanged paper permit forms annually. In 2025, 130,000 paper permits were exchanged with China, the preparation and delivery of which cost budget funds.
The e-Permit system ensures transparency, reliability, and convenience, helping to reduce budget expenditures, mitigate corruption risks, and develop international road transport. "These measures create the conditions for transforming Kyrgyzstan into a logistics hub for Central Asia. The implementation of the electronic permit system is expected to generate over 500 million soms in revenue for the state budget in 2026," the statement says.
