Bishkek, Sept. 1, 2026 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree "On assigning the geographical name 'Shanghai Cooperation Organization Peak' to the unnamed 4,050-meter mountain peak located in the Ala-Archa State Nature Park in the Alamudun district of Chui region of Kyrgyzstan," the presidential press service reported.
According to the Decree, in connection with the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the 2026 meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Kyrgyzstan, guided by Article 71 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic to implement all the procedures, to develop a corresponding draft law of the Kyrgyz Republic within three months and submit it to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic for consideration.
