Kyrgyzstan national football team to play its second match against Palestine in Bishkek

Bishkek, June 8, 2026 /Kabar/. The second friendly match between the national teams of Kyrgyzstan and Palestine will take place on June 9 at the Dolon Omurzakov stadium in Bishkek.

Nurdin Bukuev, Vice President of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU), told Kabar News Agency, this is the national team's first home game this year. This match is a key stage in the national team's preparation for the final round of the Asian Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027.

"In September and October, during the next official FIFA windows, we plan to organize a mini-tournament at home, consisting of a series of friendly matches, to which we will invite three foreign teams. And starting in December, the national team will begin the final stage of direct preparation for the Asian Cup finals," Bukuev shared his plans.

The KFU vice president also emphasized that part of the proceeds from ticket sales for the matches with Palestine (held on June 6 and upcoming on June 9) will be donated as humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

"You know the dire situation they are currently in. Therefore, the Kyrgyz Football Union has decided to donate part of the proceeds from ticket sales to the Palestine aid fund," he noted.

The first friendly match between Kyrgyzstan and Palestine took place in Bishkek on June 6 and ended in a 0-0 draw. Tomorrow's match will be the decisive one in this series.
