Kyrgyzstan national wrestling team wins 9 medals in Albania

Bishkek, March 3, 2025. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz national wrestling team won 9 medals at a ranking tournament held in Albania, the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports reported.

The tournament began on February 26 and ended on March 2.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Yryskeldi Maksatbek uulu (77 kg) and Razzak Beyshekeev (67 kg) became the winners of the tournament. In the weight category up to 63 kg, Doolotbek Choibekov won the silver medal. Bayaman Karimov (67 kg) and Yryskeldi Khamzaev (72 kg) took 3rd place.

The team participated under the guidance of head coach Uran Zhuzup uulu and senior coach Atay Zamirbekov.

Also in freestyle wrestling, Taiyrbek Zhumashbek uulu won silver in the 65 kg category, and Bilol Sharip uulu won bronze. In the 57 kg category, Almaz Smanbekov took 3rd place.

The freestyle wrestling team participated under the guidance of head coach Azat Mirakhimov and senior coaches Ilgiz Dzhakypbekov and Elaman Dogdurbek uulu.

In addition, among women, Aiperi Medet kyzy won silver in the 76 kg category.

The women's team participated under the guidance of head coach Nurbek Izabekov and senior coach Nurdan Donbaev, the report said.
